Back in the days when the music from a record player accompanied the dance steps, Diana traveled from community center to community center in the region, spreading her passion for dance like a fiery light.

After many years of traveling and enjoying dance, Diana finally found her home in the enchanting city of Alkmaar. Here, amidst the historic streets, she decided to create a permanent haven for those who wanted to share their passion for dance. Thus, Grapèlli Dance Studio’s was born, a name synonymous with talent, friendship, and artistic freedom.

Over four decades, Grapèlli Dance Studio’s became a household name in Alkmaar and beyond. It was not just a dance school but a community where friendships were forged, talents were discovered, and memories were created. The sound of music and the rhythms of dance filled the dance halls, making it a vibrant hub for creative minds.

Unfortunately, after over 40 years of unforgettable moments, Grapèlli Dance Studio’s closed its doors in 2021. While the physical chapter of the dance school ended, the legacy lives on in the hearts of those who once experienced the magic of dance under the roof of Grapèlli. The dance floor may no longer resonate with steps, but the memories of this special place will continue to dance in the minds of those who were part of it.

However, the name Grapèlli remained connected to this historic building, which we have lovingly and passionately transformed into a unique boutique hotel. Here, amidst the history and heritage of Alkmaar, our new adventure began. Our aim is to provide guests with an extraordinary experience, infused with the charm and soul of this beautiful building.
